7th Life Science

It's Science Fair work week in class!
Please come prepared EACH day to do something productive on your SF project.
TWO assignments are due this week - Data Table (Wed) and Data Analysis (Fri)

Great job on ALL you are doing in class...working independently and at your own pace...helping each other...asking questions...making your work the BEST it can be. I'm proud of you!

8th US History

We've shifted out of the foundations of America and are on a course now (Ch 7) to expand and apply the ideals set forth during the Revolution as well as the first few presidents under the Constitution.
Will these ideas hold? What are the consequences of our westward expansion? How do we feel about these things today in Modern America?

ASSIGNMENTS:

I will be intentionally light in assignments this week and next as the Science Fair looms on the horizon (Thurs 4 Feb).

This week we'll begin an Indian unit in conjunction with Ch 7.

There will be NO homework (Yippee!) this week or next. We will be doing some readings in class (provided) and watching a few short scenes from a DVD.

There will be a quiz on the readings next week.

Students need to go to their local public library and check out a few books about Indians.
due dates for their Indian outside reading are as follows:

Mon 8 Feb - Books due in class.

Wed 17 Feb - Books are completed and reports due in class.
